BPDI produces intelligence using combinations of institutional data, market information, first-party information, behavioral evidence, field observation, third-party research, and analytical methods appropriate to the decision being examined.
No single data source is assumed to provide a complete picture.
Data Dates and Sources
Statistics and other factual claims should be interpreted according to the source, date, geography, population, scope, and methodology associated with them.
Public datasets may be revised after BPDI publishes or references them.
A figure that was accurate for a stated period should not automatically be interpreted as a current figure.
Estimates, Models, and Forecasts
Some BPDI work may include:
- modeled estimates
- economic-impact analysis
- forecasts
- scenarios
- inferred relationships
- projections
- ranges
- analytical assumptions
These are analytical tools and involve uncertainty.
Actual outcomes may differ.
Business and Market Decisions
BPDI intelligence is intended to improve the evidence available for decisions.
BPDI does not guarantee:

Organizations remain responsible for their own decisions and implementation.
